Srinagar: During a nocturnal raid police arrested two members of Dukhtaran-e-Milat in Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Condemning the arrest of these members, DeM spokesperson Nahida Nasreen told news agency CNS that police were looking for outfit Chairperson Asiya Andrabi, however when they didn’t find her, they detained two members of the organization.
“Tehmeena from Kulgam district and Kulsam from Qazigund were shifted to Women’s Police Station Anantnag and booked under 13 Unlawful Act of 188, 148, 149, 336, 332 RPC,” she said and demanded their immediate release from the jail.
The spokesperson added that government is not even sparing women and children and has given free hand to police to harass common people and peaceful members of political organizations. (CNS)
