Srinagar: Scores of Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) employees were injured after they clashed with the contractors over some issues inside the office premises.
Sources said that a few days back, the employees of JKTDC and contractors had scuffle over some minor issues inside the department, which led to the injuries of three employees, adding that the injured employees were shifted to hospital for treatment.
General Manager Operation, JKTDC, Saleem Ahmad told KNS that three employees were injured after some contractors thrashed them. “All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment while among them remained in coma for hours,” he said.
He said that all the injured have been discharged from the hospital and are out of danger, adding that, “We have registered a case against them in Kothi Bagh police station in this regard,” he said.
An official in the Kothi Bagh police station told KNS that two cases under number 39 and 40 have been registered in this regard. “One case has been lodged against contractors while another has been lodged against employees,” he said.
Meanwhile, Managing Director J&K Tourism Development Corporation Farooq Ahmad Shah visited the hospital to enquire about their health. (KNS)
