95 percent Kashmiris want freedom from India: Malik

Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik on Tuesday said that more than 95 percent Kashmiris want freedom from ‘Indian occupation’ and resistance movement belongs to these 95 percent Kashmiris.

In a statement issued to KNS, Mali said that it is true that less than 5 percent collaborators for their lust of power have been acting against the collective voice of Kashmiris and legitimizing illegal occupation of Jammu Kashmir and also shielding the crimes committed by Indian forces in Jammu Kashmir.

He said that “detaining leadership of employees and sending then to Baramullah jail actually glaring example of mental bankruptcy of rulers.”

Malik said that to please Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s masters in Delhi and Nagpur, she has started exposing her real face before the world.

He said that a person who used to protest with the photographs of those killed by Indian forces in 2010 and used to demand punishment for their killers is today saying that only 5% in Kashmir are with resistance and 95% are with India. “If Mehbooba Jee is so sure about this percentage why don’t she asks her masters in Delhi to hold a referendum here as soon as possible and settle this issue for ever according to their wishes,” Malik said while reacting to CM statement.

He said that the reality is that more than 95 percent Kashmiris want freedom from illegal occupation and a resolution of Jammu Kashmir issue and this is the goal they are striving and rendering sacrifices for from 1947. “It is equally true that a small bunch of power hungry people that include Mehbooba Mufti also have been acting against the collective will of Kashmiris, have been deployed for safeguarding the interests of India, have been at the back of Indian killer forces and are doing everything that can enhance the miseries of Kashmiri people.”

Malik said that “yes this is true that 95 percent Kashmiris stand for freedom while as less than 5 percent act as collaborators adding to the miseries of Kashmiris, and sooner India and its stooges accept this reality better it will be for the whole south Asia.”

JKLF chief said that rulers that has imposed curfew and inflicted miseries to the people by stopping milk and medicines from reaching to people, whose forces and police have unleashed a reign of terror across the valley and have arrested thousands of people should not issue such shameless statements against people in resistance.

He said that these hypocritical politicians should know that their politics and double speak stands exposed fully before the people and according to the law of nature they will have to answer for their crimes against Kashmiris.

While condemning the incarceration of EJAC leaders including its president Abdul Qayoom Wani and shifting them to Baramullah jail, Malik said that arresting people and sending them to jail is a glaring example mental bankruptcy of the so-called rulers.

He said that EJAC leaders were protesting against the brutal killings of more than 70 innocents, injuring more than 7000, snatching eye sight of hundreds, against incarceration of thousands and nocturnal raids and that is why they have been booked and arrested by so-called democratic rulers.

While condemning the ongoing atrocities on common people, Malik said that India and its stooges are deploying more and more forces to suppress Kashmiri voice but this ploy will also fail.

Meanwhile, JKLF vice chairman Advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt visited Budgam and participated in a condolence meeting held in remembrance of JKLF martyr Bashir Ahmad Bogami.

While remembering the struggle and sacrifices of martyr Bashir Bogami, JKLF vice chairman said that a resistance movement that has been nourished by the sacred blood of martyrs will achieve its desired goal. (KNS)
