Srinagar: Delhi Public School (DPS) on Sunday apologized for “unintentionally” hurting the sentiments of Muslims.
“Delhi Public School Srinagar Management apologises for unintentionally hurting the sentiments of people,” said a statement issued by the school to JandK Headlines.
The school had disallowed a Muslim teacher from wearing Abaya, which triggered lot of outrage in School particular and in valley in general.
The students of Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar on Friday protested against the school authorities for disallowing a female teacher to wear abaya in the campus.
The government on Saturday said that it will inquire into the “serious” issue of banning of ‘Abahaya’ by Delhi Public School, Athwajan, in its campus, saying that “it cannot be done in the state”.
