Srinagar: AIP President Er Rasheed while reacting to PM Narendra Modi’s references to Kashmir in his monthly speech ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has asked Indian leadership not to play with the words but accept the right to self-determination for J&K.
In a statement issued today Er Rasheed said, “Let Indian PM understand that there are no takers to his sermons of putting whole blame game on Kashmiris. PM must leave the traditional words and collect courage to own the truth. His remarks cannot give a cover to state terrorism and drawing comparisons between killings and injuries of civilians and security force personals is nothing but an attempt to justify the killings of innocents. While every death is painful but PM can’t pass the buck by equating one death of security forces with the 70 deaths of civilians including women and children.”
He said that under a well crafted plan GoI has been forcing its mouth piece Mehbooba Mufti to add salt to the injuries of people of J&K by saying that those killed had not gone to buy toffees and milk in security camps.
He said, “The statement is shameful, as will Mehbooba Mufti say that the mother and her teen ager child, who got killed in Qazigund by army, a youth butchered inside his house in Batamaloo, the ATM guard who received 365 pellets, the youth who was forced to death in Jehlum and dozens of others who were not part of any protest in different parts of valley, had really gone to buy toffees and milk? PM must know that trouble whatsoever takes place in Kashmir, New Dehli will be judged as trouble pioneer. PM has clearly communicated that all parties in India are unanimous in denying Kashmiris any political concessions.” Er Rasheed asked PM and Indian leadership to understand that Kashmiris are fed up with these all party delegations, track-II diplomacies and sweet words and added that before sending anybody to Kashmir, New Dehli must accept the nature of dispute.
