Srinagar: Though the schools continue to remain closed from the past 55 days in Kashmir, the well qualified youth in several places here have started free coaching classes to the students so that their education would not hamper.
The well qualified youth in several areas of Kashmir including Kandi villages of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district are voluntarily teaching the students in residential houses and in other places.
According to KNS correspondent, the youth who have started voluntarily teaching the students said that they started the free coaching classes in view of the current situation in Kashmir. “Keeping in view of the closure of schools and coaching centres, we have started free tuition classes to the students so that their education will not get hampered,” he said.
The voluntarily teachers said that as being a part and parcel of the society, it stands their responsibility to provide education to the students. “The leadership had also appealed people and teaching faulty of Kashmir to start the coaching classes to the students. As being qualified citizens, it was our responsibility as well to start the classes,” they said.
The tuition has been started in Bandi Payeen village where students from adjoining villages like Kohlina, Dandmooha and Kalantra Bla are attending classes.
“Students are attending classes regularly and their parents are also happy with our decision,” Mushtaq Ahmad, a private teacher said.
Meanwhile, the reports said that the youth in several other areas have also started free coaching classes to the students.
The youth in sheds, vacant places and in residential houses have started the free coaching classes.
Pertinently, the schools remain closed from past two months.
The schools continue to remain closed since the current uprising in Kashmir took place, which started after the killing of Hizb commander, Burhan Wani during a ‘gunfight’ in Bumdoora village of Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. (KNS)
