Anantnag attack: SPO injured critically in firing, referred to Srinagar hospital

Srinagar: A special police officer was injured after militants fired upon him in Main Town of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

An official told news agency GNS that an SPO namely Rambir Singh was shot and injured by militants near DC Office Anantnag.

The cop was immediately shifted to nearby Janglat Mandi hospital where from he was referred to Srinagar hospital in critical conditions.

Soon after the attack the government forces launched searches and cordoned off the entire area to trace out the assailants, he said.

The injured SPO according to the official was regulating the traffic when the incident occurred. (GNS)
