Clashes erupt in Dooru, elderly woman among 9 injured

Srinagar: People of Dooru alleged that forces went rampant, damaging property and terrorizing locals in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday.

“Forces despite no clashes or protests entered into the village and started damaging the property and breaking window panes,” locals alleged.

Soon, people came out of their houses and violent clashes erupted that left at least nine people including four police men injured.

Meanwhile, locals said that a 55-year-old lady, identified as Sara Begum, received pellet injuries and one Gh. Hassan Bhat, 60, has been arrested by the police. (PTK)
