COVID19 spike: Srinagar witnesses 58 per cent cases in one week

Srinagar: As the third wave of Covid19 pandemic is at the corner, around 58 percent of Covid -19 cases are reported from Srinagar district in the last one week.

As per the data available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) in the last one week Kashmir division has reported 674 positive cases among which 393 belong to Srinagar while the rest nine districts have witnessed just 281 cases.

Data reveals that out of 147 cases reported on 09 September, 80 are from Srinagar while 150 cases were reported on 10 September of which 10 are from Srinagar.

Similarly of 121 cases reported on 11 September, 72 are from Srinagar and of 89 cases reported on 12 September in valley 41 are from Srinagar.

Furthermore, out of 78 cases reported on 13 September 48 are from Srinagar while out of 112 cases reported on 14 September 75 are from Srinagar.

On 15 September, 124 cases were reported in Kashmir among them 77 are from Kashmir.

In aggregate, over 58 percent cases reported in Kashmir in last week are from Srinagar and below 42 percent are from rest nine districts of Kashmir.

Pertinently out of 1,186 active positive cases in Kashmir, 686 are from Srinagar—(KNO)
