Ex-Sarpanch killed in Anantnag; Mir demands probe

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president G A Mir Thursday demanded a judicial probe into the killing of Sajjad Ahmad Malik, an ex-sarpanch of Congress who was killed in Dooru area of Anantnag by Army today.

Talking to KNS he said, “Malik, an ex sarpanch associated with Congress was picked up by the police one and half months back and was serving Public Safety Act (PSA). He was dropped by a policeman in Agno today where Army had been already informed to kill him.”

“It needs judicial enquiry as it is a custodial killing. Why is Mehbooba Mufti getting innocent people killed?” he asked. (KNS)
