Srinagar: Police in Kulgam have arrested an accused person involved in raping a minor girl within one hour after complaint was received.
Police Station Devsar received a written complaint from an individual alleging therein that her daughter was raped on 12/05/2021 by a person namely Mudasir Ahmad Lone son of Mushtaq Ahmad Lone resident of Dardgund while on her way towards orchards and thereafter threatened her not to disclose the incident to anyone.
Accordingly, case vide FIR No. 28/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Devsar and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, a Police team headed by SHO PS Devsar under the supervision of DySP PC Kulgam was constituted to arrest the accused person involved in the commission of crime. The Police team after utilizing all available means and strenuous efforts arrested the accused person within one hour of complaint received by police. He has been shifted to the police station where he remains in custody.
Further investigation into the matter is in progress.
