Police solve hit and run case in 12 hours

Srinagar: Srinagar police solved a hit and run case by arresting the accused driver within 12 hours.

Last night, an unknown vehicle hit a pedestrian Fayaz Ahmad Shah son of Nizam-ud-Din resident of Bandipora near JVC Hospital, Srinagar, resulting in his critical injuries. He was shifted to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries this morning. The driver fled from the spot alongwith the vehicle.

A case FIR No. 81/2015 under section 279, 304-A RPC was registered in police station Parimpora and investigation was taken up.

Today Bemina police solved the hit and run case by arresting the accused driver Mohammad Yaseen son of Farooq Ahmad resident of Ramban and recovered the vehicle Tata Ace (Chota Hathi) bearing registration number JK01S/ 8215. The hit and run case was solved with 12 hours of the commission of offense.
