Srinagar: The owner of a private school in Zewan area of Srinagar city Wednesday alleged that his school was gutted in fire after forces lobbed tear smoke canisters inside the premises of the school on Tuesday evening.
Principal Noor-ul-Huda Educational Institute Abdul Khaliq told news agency CNS that on Tuesday evening women folk were staging pro-freedom protest at Zafron Colony Zewan when Government Forces fired tear-smoke shells to disperse them.
“Some tear-smoke shells landed inside the school setting it on fire. The two storey school building was completely gutted while the furniture that we had recently purchased also turned into ashes,” he said. (CNS)
