Stop killing children to keep them alive for schools; Nizami to Mehbooba

Srinagar: Reacting to Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s statement that Children should be in schools, Congress today said that for the children to be in their schools the govt should keep them alive.

Congress Organising Secretary and Media I/C Salman Nizami said many of children have been killed, blinded and injured. BJP and PDP govt is on a mission of wiping out the youth of Kashmir. “The school buildings have been occupied by Security forces, so where will our student go and study? Even after 54 days when more than 71 civilians have been killed and thousands have suffered injuries, chief minister is not feeling any pain,” Nizami said.

“By her provocative statements, it seems that she still is waiting when more youth will get killed in the Valley. It also shows how serious is our chief minister towards the problems and situation,” Nizami added.

Nizami said, “It is unfortunate that the Chief Minister is acting as puppet of RSS and is not bothered to look into genuine problems of Kashmiri people, it doesn’t happen anywhere that forces open fire instantly on children but in Kashmir it is altogether different. Nizami further said, In 2010 Mehbooba Mufti was shielding crocodile tears over the killings, arrest of Kashmiris. And now when in power she has crossed all limits of detention, torture and killings. Mehbooba’s insensitive and inarticulate remarks have added to the anger on our streets. She has left no stone unturned to vilify and hurt the agitating youth and this has compounded the problem.”
