Two LeT militants, one trooper killed in Bandipora gunfight

Srinaga: Two LeT Militants and one army trooper were today killed after gunfight rages early morning between rebels and government forces in Manzpora area of Naid Khai village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Acting on specific information regarding the presence of two militants, Army’s 13 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Special Operations Group of J&K Police cordoned off a Manzpora Naid Khai area following inputs about the presence of two militants early morning.

According to reliable sources security forces cordoned off the area, militants present there suddenly resorted to firing creating panic in the area which was retaliated triggering an encounter in which an army injured who later succumbed his injury.

Reports came from the area said two Militants have been killed in the encounter. Official sources confirmed that the slain militants belonging to Lashkar Toiba outfit have been killed in a brief encounter in Manzpora Naidkhai area early morning. The identity of slain militant is being ascertained. (PTK)
