WhatsApp releases two new features for Android users

Whatsapp has released two new features for its Android phone users. The new features were available for beta in the previous app but now they are available to the general android users.

The first feature will allow WhatsApp users to watch a video while it’s downloading, like a streaming service. That doesn’t mean you won’t be able to download the video to your device. The user will be able to start watching the video as soon as they click on the play button.

The second feature will let users convert short 6-seconds videos into GIF images and share it directly with their WhatsApp contacts. Last month, the instant messaging platform rolled out a new video calling feature which is still undergoing various updates and bug fixes.

WhatsApp will also stop support for many devices by the end of this year. The company claims that these devices don’t let the app function in its full potential.
